A tall, powerfully built centre back, Francino Francis can also play up front and joined Hinckley AFC from Hednesford Town in November 2016.

Having made more than a hundred appearances for The Pitmen and more than 200 in his non-league career, Francis brings a wealth of experience to Hinckley’s backline alongside Jamal Clarke.

Starting out as a striker, he was released by Stoke City as an eighteen-year-old and made three appearances for Watford in 2005-06 as The Hornets were promoted to the Premier League.

He was released at the end of the season, though, and moved into non-league by joining Redditch United, then in the Conference North.

After brief spells at Quorn, Rushall Olympic, Halesowen Town and Willenhall Town, he joined Barwell in 2008 and spent three years there as The Canaries climbed the non-league pyramid with two quickfire promotions.

So impressed was Barwell manager Marcus Law, that he signed Francis again upon his appointment as Tamworth manager, this time converting him into a central defender after filling in at the back several times.

After leaving Tamworth, he joined Hednesford for his first spell at Keys Park, spending just over two seasons there before spending a year at Chasetown and re-joining The Pitmen in March.
