A much sought after local midfielder, Ryan Seal was originally a target for Hinckley AFC in the summer of 2015, but opted to stay at step five and join United Counties League outfit Oadby Town.

Previously with Kirby Muxloe in the Midland League Premier Division, the prolific goalscoring midfielder netted 32 times in 42 appearances for Kirby in 2014-15 before joining The Poachers that summer.

After playing eleven times for Oadby at the start of 2015-16, he linked up with Carl Abbott’s men at the start of October and hit the ground running, scoring 37 goals in his first campaign with the club including a hat-trick in the Jelson Homes Senior Cup final.

Not content with that, his goalscoring exploits continued into the following season, for which he was named club captain. He broke a club record in September by scoring five goals in an FA Vase game at Greenwood Meadows, becoming the club’s leading goalscorer in the process.

He ended that season with a remarkable 56 goals to his name from an advanced midfield position, and was voted as the Supporters’ Player of the Year. He currently holds both the appearance and goals records at the club.
